General Information  | Payments |

The catering department will prepare specific menus to meet individual needs or to celebrate regional international cuisine's. To make that your party or special event is a success, our Catering Director is available to assist you in planning and organizing your function. Please feel free to contact us at (305)-348-3072.

Arrangements
FIU Dining Services is proud to offer professional planning services and staff to assist with arrangements for your catering affairs. Please do not hesitate to ask for assistance at anytime.

For your convenience, we have compiled frequently requested services and popular menus. If you have a special request or a special menu you would like to try, we will be happy to help you in any way we can.

Reservations
Room arrangements must be made by notifying the Graham Center Office at (305)-348-2297. Each group must assume the responsibility for coordinating room setup and seating arrangements. Cafeteria and Faculty Club facilities must be reserved through Graham Center Office. Events outside of the Graham Center need to be coordinated through the person in charge of that location.

We want to make certain your event is successful. The Planning Work Sheet may be used as a guide when planning your function. Our Catering Manager is also available to answer your questions at (305)-348-3072.

Guarantees
Final changes in you guarantee number must be submitted no later than three full working days before the function. Your minimum charge will be based on that.

Service Periods
All meals, receptions, and bar service within this booklet are planned for a maximum of three hours.
Service periods are designed to include the meal and program. Service extended beyond the three-hour period will require additional charges.

How to read your Contract

On the top portion of your contract are details that are needed to prepare for any event or party.
Listed is the day, date, location, number of guests, host, phone & fax.

The listing "Time In" tells the client the time your buffet or service will be in place. This does not mean that this is the same time that the staff will serve you. Due to many bookings, our staff may deliver your coffee breaks or set up earlier so we may accommodate your specific needs.
The word "Meal" is the correct time you want your food to be served. Please tell the manager as much details as possible, so the correct arrangements can be made.

Delivery
There is a $ 7.50 or a 10% fee (whichever is greater) for the delivery of food and beverages to any area outside the Graham Center.

Miscellaneous
When our facilities are closed, a guarantee minimum charge is required based upon the cost incurred. Catered events on Weekends and holidays may have an additional charge. Not all menus are suitable for outside locations. A Manager is available to assist you in selecting an appropriate menu for your function. Due to uncontrollable circumstances, menu changes may have to be made. In such instances, substitutions will be of comparable value.

In case of cancellation, you may be liable for any food production cost incurred up to that time
Food and beverage may not be removed from the promises following any reception or meal with-out the consent of a FIU Dining Services Manager.
Custom linen, decorations & center pieces can be requested through us to enhance your event.
A wide selection of wines to complement your meal are available through Fine Dining Services.
All charges are subject to local and state sales tax where applicable.
